How to apply

The ESRI 2020 online application period opens February 15, 2020 and will close April 1, 2020.

Required applications materials includes:

  • one-page personal statement/motivation letter (500 words max), describing your interest in this ESRI and its relevance to your career goals;
  • your current CV;
  • and only for Research Fellows (i.e., graduate students and postdocs): one recommendation letter from a mentor or advisor.

NOTE: Your application does not ensure acceptance, as participation is limited by facility size, program guidelines, committee review of your application information.

After creating a personal account and submitting your application (motivation letter as plain text, CV and optional recommendation letter as pdf upload), you will be informed if your application has been accepted. Those who have been accepted will then be invited by email to register for the ESRI. Accepted participants can submit for a poster presentation.

The registration fee to attend the ESRI is € 575,- for Research Fellows€ 925,- for Senior Investigators and Professionals for € 1.200,-. More information about the designated groups under "Who should attend".

The registration fee covers room and board for the program and participation to all presentations and workshops. In addition, each participant will be expected to cover his/her own travel expenses. Registration fee should be paid by accepted applicants at the time of the registration.
