Prof. Dr. Daniel Haun is the Director of the Leipzig Research Center for Early Child Development (since 2016) and Full Professor for Early Child Development and Culture at Leipzig University, Germany since 2015.

He studies the inter-cultural diversity of behaviour in humans and investigates the phylogeny and ontogeny of the psychological mechanisms that produce and stabilize population-level behavioral diversity. He holds a PhD from the Max-Planck-Institute of Psycholinguistics and the Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging and was research group leader at the Max-Planck-Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology and Max-Planck-Institute for Psycholinguistics.
